The Way I Remember

I paint from memory rather than direct observation.
My work begins with what remains emotionally after seeing something — a flower, a person, a place, a moment.
I am interested in simplification, distortion and incomplete forms, allowing paintings to stay open, unstable and unresolved.
Through repetition and intuitive mark-making, I am developing a visual language that sits between remembering and forgetting.
