About Anisa Mosaieby
As a Birmingham-based, Iranian artist, my journey through living in different countries and connecting with women from diverse cultures has profoundly shaped my practice. I delve into intimate, often unspoken moments in women's lives, shedding light on hidden emotions and untold stories often silenced by judgment. My work is greatly influenced by Tracey Emin, particularly her raw expression of personal emotions and private experiences. While inspired by her approach, I explore these themes through oil on canvas, drawing on the painterly techniques and aesthetics of Post-Impressionism. Through my art, I aim to create a universal language that resonates with women worldwide, highlighting shared feelings and experiences. My goal is to remind them that they are not alone and to inspire greater self-acceptance.
